Who says that big dreams are only for normal people? It doesn’t matter if you’re a person with disabilities or not.. what matters is that you don’t give up on your dreams and keep pursuing them.. keep fighting until you reach your goal.
About the Movie:
Magkapatid: Dreamers In Tandem centralizes on two siblings Christian (Adrian Cabido) and Christina (Elia Ilano) Delos Santos who, despite their disabilities, team up on pursuing their dreams and support each other.
Christian , who struggles with intellectual disability, is an athletic young man while Christina, a bright young girl, is physically challenged and confined to her wheelchair. Despite their own personal struggles with these disabilities, they both share a dream in completing their education together, having each other’s backs for support and face obstacles that threaten to hold them back such as bullying, family issues and personal battles.
Most favorite part of this movie: Scenes where Christian and Christina always have each others backs for support as well as the part where they both become friends with the people who once bullied them.
Least favorite part: Bathroom scene where Christina (Elia Ilano) gets physically bullied by Elaine (Karina Mallari) and her cronies; Analyn being two faced by saying mean things about Christian and Christina behind their backs.
Reflection after watching this movie: Your disabilities don’t have to define your whole being. It doesn’t matter if you’re a PWD or not… what matters is that you keep fighting and pursuing your dreams.
Verdict
Truly a wonderful movie that brings families together…. A film definitely worth watching with your family, friends or even colleagues.
I’ve watched this film with my co-Elianatics members during the blockscreening yesterday. Congrats once again Direk Jonathan and to the whole cast of this movie for its success.
