Speak of her name.. she’ll follow you…

This film is based on an urban legend about a student way back in the 1960s . Mary Cherry Chua (or known as Mary Chua) is described to be a cheerful young girl with long black hair – beautiful, rich and smart. She’s also considered to be popular and envied by many. Unfortunately, she met her untimely demise as she was found lifeless on campus grounds. The school janitor was said to have raped and murdered her.

The movie centralizes on Karen (played by Ashley Diaz), a student with a passion reading horror stories and urban legends. Intrigued by the life and tragic fate of Mary Cherry Chua (Abby Bautista) , she decides to bring up the case again and start her own investigation – leading her to discover clues about the crime with the help of her friends. Unbeknownst to her, Karen’s curiosity seems to be putting her own life at risk as she delves deeper into the mystery of Mary Cherry Chua’s death.

Verdict on the movie:

  • Film is definitely worth watching. I could say it really gave me a lot of goosebumps and jumpscare starting from the intro or opening. Kudos to the whole cast for a job well done, especially Elia Ilano.

  • I like the plot twist of the story. (Not going to tell what it is. Watch to find out).
