Veganism
Ever came across the term “Veganism” ? What thought first comes into your mind when you hear that word?
What Veganism Is Veganism is defined as the practice of abstaining from the use of animal products – particularly in someone’s diet – as well as an associated philosophy that rejects the commodity status of animals (Source: “Veganism” from Wikipedia; https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Veganism ) It’s a lifestyle that avoids all animal foods such as meat, dairy, eggs and honey as well as other animal derived products like leather and products being tested on animals. Veganism is being distinguished into different categories: Dietary veganism, ethical veganism and environmental veganism.
Also known as “vegan diet” , it is a way of living in which people exclude all forms of animal exploitation and cruelty. Veganism was coined back in the year 1944 by a small group of vegetarians who left the Leicester Vegan Society in England to form a society of their own. The definition of veganism now extends beyond eating a plant-based diet. Veganism Pros And Cons Like any other things, veganism has its pros and cons (advantages and disadvantages). Veganism doesnt always work for all people , especially for those who have certain health conditions. It’s not a one size fits all kind of thing. Going vegan doesnt necessarily mean it would make you less cruel to animal nor does it mean you’re healthier than other people who aren’t on that certain type of diet.
